Munster Clubs Boys Age-Grade Cup Finals Preview

The Munster Clubs Boys Age-Grade Cup finals get underway this weekend with games taking place at U14, U16 and U18.5 levels.

The U14 cup kicks us off the weekend on Saturday as Waterford City-Tramore take on Bruff in Thomond Park.

Waterdford City-Tramore earned their spot in the final by overcoming St. Senans 17-19 in Jim Slattery Park before beating Garryowen 21-12 at home.

Bruff booked their place by beating Old Crescent 12-7 in Kilballyowen Park before welcoming the West Cork outfit Clonakilty who they went on to beat 26-7.

In the Boys U16 final Clonakilty will meet Waterpark in Virgin Media Park on Sunday afternoon.

Clonakilty worked their way into the final by beating Cobh Pirates 30-5 and then over coming seaside club Kinsale 10-5.

Waterpark also had a clear run heading into the final as they overcame Newcastlewest 40-15 in round one before defeating last year’s runners up Old Christians 24-34.

This final will kick off at 12:45pm and can be streamed live here.

In the Boys U18.5 final Old Christians will take on fellow Cork side Bandon in the second game of Sunday’s double header in Virgin Media Park.

Old Christian earned their final spot by overcoming Kinsale by just one point with a score line of 7-8 setting them up to take on Clonakilty in the semi-final who they went on to defeat 16-14.

Bandon got themselves a hand on the cup by beating Highfield 28-7 before making the trip to Ennis where they won with a comfortable score of 21-31.

The Boys U18.5 Munster Cup final will kick off at 3pm with the game available to stream live here.
