Munster Colleges Rugby Festival At CIT

On Wednesday, 2nd October, Cork Institute of Technology hosted a Munster Colleges Rugby Festival.

Over 220 students from Cork I.T, Limerick I.T, Tralee I.T, Waterford I.T, University of Limerick, National Maritime College of Ireland and L.I.T Tipperary took part in the event.

There were four different competitions run on the day catering for all levels of interest and ability. Ten a-side tournaments were held at Men’s, Women’s and Fresher’s level and these ran alongside a Tag Rugby Tournament which was won by W.I.T.

Referees on the day were provided by the Munster Rugby Development Department and The IRFU Leisure Rugby Department.

The festival was the first of a planned schedule of Munster College rugby events for the 2013/14 season
