The Rugby Development Department and Galbally RFC hosted a hugely successful blitz this week at the County Limerick club’s grounds.

Around 350 children took part in the blitz which included 36 teams from 11 national schools in the area.

Members of Galbally RFC, Munster Rugby CCROs Tony Henebry and Evan Cusack and staff members Ray Gadsden, Kenneth McNamara and Euan Gee ran the blitz which took place on nine pitches which were set up for games throughout the day.

A highlight for the young players was an opportunity to meet Munster Rugby players Paddy Patterson and Ben Healy who took part in photos and a Q&A with the kids.

The club are also hosting a Minis Open Day on Sunday, December 11th which takes place between 10.30am – 12pm.
