Munster’s Alby Mathewson, Jaco Taute, Dan Goggin and Fiona Reidy recently visited a national school blitz at Killarney National Park.

The event was a mini rugby participation blitz for national schools in the Killarney and Killorglin area with 200 boys and girls taking part.

The players showed their support while also answering questions and taking photos with the students.

A number of non-contact games with an emphasis on participation followed under the guidance of Munster Rugby Development Officers.

The blitz was an opportunity for boys and girls to have fun while playing rugby with links created between schools and Killarney RFC.

Munster Rugby Club & Community Rugby Officer Dan O’Sullivan organised the event with Liam Murphy and Tom O’Leary of Killarney RFC helping to facilitate.
