Munster Junior Preparation 2012
3rd April 2012 By Munster Rugby
The Munster Junior preparations for the 2012 Interpro series are currently in full swing, with training taking place every Wednesday at Fermoy RFC.
The squad recently played two games against a West Munster selection in Castleisland and an East Munster selection in Waterford RFC. Both games were introduced to the programme last year and are a very worthwhile exercise as it gives the coaches a chance to view a lot of players from a wide catchment area.
A final selection match will take place on the 19th of April, when the Munster Juniors will take on a Munster College selection side in CIT.
The Interpro series kicks off at the end of April and this year the Munster Juniors have home advantage for 2 games. Kanturk RFC will host the Ulster match on the 5th of May and Connacht will travel to Castleisland RFC on the 12th of May for the final match.
The squad is now being finalised to play the first game on the 28th of April against Leinster in Edenderry RFC.
