Munster Juniors Defeat Connacht
10th May 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster’s victory over Connacht at Rathuard was not enough to see them retain their Junior Interprovincial title, as Leinster’s 21-21 draw with Ulster was enough to see them become champions with Munster as runners up.
Munster 21, Connacht 16
Munster were the only side not to claim a bonus point win over Connacht in this their final Inter Pro of the season.
Their cause was not helped with the unavailability of players from Clanwilliam, Clonmel, Cobh Pirates and St. Mary’s all involved in Cup Finals this weekend.
Stuart Lee scored a first half try for Munster which Mark Healy converted. Kanturk’s Dan McCabe and Johnny O’Sullivan added second half tries and Healy converted both.
