The game was split into 20 minutes sections with the final result ending level at 12 apiece. Props Patrick Ryan (St Senans) and Declan Moloney (Newcastle West) crossed the line for the Munster side with a conversion coming from Old Christians scrum half Stuart Lee.

Under lights the game was played on a fantastic dry pitch which allowed both sides to play an entertaining brand of rugby at a high intensity.

The difficult selection process will continue over the next fortnight for Head Coach John O'Neill as his side will face into two challenge games against East and West selection sides. The first of these two fixtures will take place this coming Friday night at Castleisland against the West.
