Munster Representative Information Evening
6th February 2014 By Munster Rugby
The Munster Representative Coach and Management teams met with the players and their parents last Tuesday evening in preparation for the Interprovincial campaign 2014.
Speakers on the night included Tom Barry, Chairman of the Academy Board, Peter Malone Elite Player Development Manager and Ultan O’Callaghan, Rugby Development Manager.
Despite the poor weather conditions, over 200 parents and players travelled from all six counties to the Charleville Park Hotel to attend the evening.
Munster Rugby introduced this season’s Team Management and Coaches appointed to all four representative sides and also shared the season plan for all upcoming screening sessions and trial games.
The evening’s presentation highlighted Munster Rugby’s long term interprovincial plan illustrating how they will prepare the players well in advance as they put themselves in contention for the final selection of the respective 26 man squads.
It was also clearly identified the need for players to have a balanced approach to their rugby, social lifestyle and time management with upcoming exams and study being the key priority.
Munster Rugby would like to thank the players and their families for their continued commitment and support.
