Munster Rugby Summer Camps 2008

13th December 2007 By Munster Rugby

The ever popular Rugby Summer Camps will be taking place again all over the province in Summer 2008, and this time they will have a far more Munster feel about them.

Summer 2008 will see Munster Rugby running the Rugby Summer Camps for boys and girls aged 6 – 13 years of age. Previously the camps were organised at National level and all applicants received Irish branded product. Everything will be carried out at Provincial level next summer, so make sure you don’t miss the chance to attend Munster’s very own Rugby Summer Camps.

With the emphasis on fun, all activities on the camps will be professionally supervised and administrated. The activities are child-centered, taking into consideration the capacities and needs of the young player as identified in the I.R.F.U.’s Long Term Development Pathway Stage 1(FUNdamental Stage).

The coaching process on the camps encourages the development of players through active guidance, with the players learning predominantly through playing and fun activities. All coaches employed on the camps are qualified at mini rugby level under the IRFU Coaching Development Pathway, bringing both experience and understanding to the role of coaching young children.

More information on the Munster Rugby Summer Camps will be available soon, so please consult this website regularly for all updates.
