Munster Schools Girls Senior And Junior Cup Round-Up

It was a busy week in the Munster Schools Girls Senior and Junior Cups with three fixtures taking place throughout the week.

On Tuesday, Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí beat Bandon Grammar School 32-10 in Dunmanway to progress to the semi-finals of the Junior Cup. The Coláiste Pobail Bheanntraí tries came from Muireann McCarthy (x2), Grace Kingston (x2), Mary Fox while Maria Fouhey scored two tries for Bandon Grammar School.

On Wednesday, St Anne’s Community College defeated Ardscoil Mhuire 44-14 in UL to progress to the semi-finals of the Junior Cup. Among the try scorers for St Anne’s Community College were Lucy Pearl (x2), Tuathla Ryan (x2), Charlie Dillon and Mia Hennelly while Orlaith Grimes and Aoife Grimes scored tries for Ardscoil Mhuire.

Later that day in UL, St Anne’s Community College were in action in the Senior Cup as they took on Sacred Heart Clonakilty. The Clare school beat Clonakilty 32-17 with Ellen O’Shaughnessy, Fionnula O’Rahilly, Amy Riley, Rebecca Rogers and Alana McKeogh among the try scorers for St Anne’s while Clonakilty got two of their three tries through Kate Nolan.

Also in the Junior Cup, Coláiste Íde Dingle received a walkover and progress to the semi-finals.
