Munster Schools Junior Cup Semi-Final Highlights

Crescent College Comprehensive maintained their title defence of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup with a comfortable 19-5 victory against Castletroy College at the UL 4G.

It was a reasonably placid afternoon for Crescent, who had already sailed into the final before Castletroy got a late score in riposte.

Not so straightforward, meanwhile, for Presentation Brothers College and Christian Brothers College, who will have to renew rivalries on Wednesday after an enthralling 15-15 draw at Irish Independent Park.

In a game that saw the scores swap five times, it looked like Robbie Kelleher’s try 10 minutes from time would send CBC into the final, before Alex Walsh held his nerve to slot the equalising penalty for the Mardyke outfit.
