Munster Schools Senior & Junior Cup Kicks Off At Thomond Park

The eagerly awaited Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cup for 2016 kicks off on Tuesday, 19th January at Thomond Park Stadium.

In a new look competition format both the Senior and Junior Cup sides will have corresponding fixtures in the first round of the championship.

The Crescent College Comprehensive Junior Cup side will host title holders Christian Brothers College in the opening match of the campaign with their senior counterparts to follow.

St. Clements College host Presentation Brothers College in Rosbrien on Wednesday, 20th January with Glenstal Abbey School taking on Castletroy College at Dooradoyle on the same day.

Reigning Munster Schools Senior Cup champions Rockwell College are at home to Bandon Grammar School on Thursday, 21st January.

Also scheduled on 21st January in an all Limerick first round Ardscoil Rís, who have been Senior Cup finalists on the last two occasions, host St. Munchin’s College at Tom Clifford Park.
