Munster Scrum Programme At CIT

Munster Rugby held its first Front Row Scrum Development Programme yesterday, Sunday 1st December, at Cork Institute of Technology.
A total of twenty eight front row players from Munster clubs and schools took part on the day coordinated by the Munster Rugby Academy and Rugby Development departments.
The initiative is aligned by the IRFU National Scrum programme and involves training across all areas of scrimmaging with a primary focus on player welfare.
Areas covered on the day included the scrum technique, physical development, nutrition and game appreciation.
The programme will run for the duration of the season up until the end of May and will involve fortnightly supervised scrum technique sessions.
