The Munster U18 Clubs were narrowly defeated 31-25 by the Irish Exiles yesterday, at Reading, London in a pre Interprovincial warm up friendly.

In a very close encounter both sides put on a very impressive display, with the Munster outfit using the opportunity to demonstrate the skills they developed during their recent 5 week Talent Camp programme.

Despite the hosts clinching victory in the end, Munster’s Head Coach Noel O’Meara took plenty of positives from his side’s display as they continue preparations to defend their Interprovincial title.

“I was very happy with the side’s overall performance, taking a lot of positives from the game which bodes well for the Interpros.”

Tipperary man Evan Murphy (back-row) will lead the Munster U18 Clubs into their opening fixture scheduled for Saturday, 9th September taking on Connacht at Cork IT, ko 1.30pm.

The Muster Under 18 Schools side will travel to the Sportsground on Wednesday, 23rd  August to take on Connacht in their pre Interprovincial Series challenge match.

The side kick off their campaign on Wednesday, 23rd August away to Leinster.
