Munster U18 Schools Set For 100th Game Against Leinster
21st September 2010 By Munster Rugby
The U18 Schools side play their final Interprovincial fixture tomorrow when they take on their Leinster counterparts in Musgrave Park, ko 2pm.
With the 100th game in store at this level, Munster will be looking to overcome their Ulster and Connacht defeats in a bid to end their Interprovincial campaign on a high tomorrow afternoon.
It is fitting the game is in Cork as it played host to the very first Munster v Leinster Schools Interprovincial match on March 18th 1899, the venue then being Turners Cross.
Leinster were successful in that opening game, defeating Munster 6 -3, and the balance is currently in their favour with 58 victories. Munster have recorded 31 wins and there have been 10 draws to date.
