Munster Under 20’s Warm Up Continues
27th August 2014 By Munster Rugby
The Munster U20 side were narrowly defeated 19-13 yesterday against Clermont at the Stade Denis Sugères in France.
A try from Tralee speedster Eoin O’Carroll, converted by academy out-half Gearoid Lyons, who also added a successful shot at goal, brought the score to 10 a-piece at the break.
The second half saw a successful penalty kick from Munster replacement sub-academy player Tomás Quinlan, however it wasn't enough to secure a win.
Munster will take on Leicester on Friday, 29th August in France ahead of their opening interprovincial fixture which begins the following week away to Leinster.
