Munster Women Beat Leinster

The Munster Women’s team, sponsored by Keanes Jewellers, beat Leinster 7-0 in Ashbourne on Saturday to make it two wins out of two in the Interprovincial Series.

Captain Laura Guest scored the try midway through the first half after a brilliant line-out and rolling maul with Ger Rea adding the conversion.

Munster spent much of the second half camped inside their own half with Leinster piling on the pressure but the superb Munster defence stood firm to hold onto a precious win.

Wayne Falvey's side finish the Interprovincial Series with a home tie against Connacht at Tralee Rugby Club next Saturday at 2:30pm.
