Munster Women’s Squad Named

The Munster Women’s squad, sponsored by Keanes Jewellers, has been named to face Connacht tomorrow, 3rd September, in their opening match of this season’s interprovincial series.

This fixture will kick-off at 2.30 p.m. in Corinthians RFC and promises to be a highly competitive spectacle as the Munster Women fight to retain their interprovincial title for the sixth season in a row.

Munster will bring a very experienced squad to the Galway club grounds with 9 international players named in their twenty-two.

Ireland and Munster No. 8 Joy Neville will captain the side with fellow internationals Niamh Briggs, Niamh Kavanagh, Louise Costello, Chris Fanning, Gillian Bourke, Heather O’Brien and Laura Guest in the starting line-up.

The two remaining interprovincial fixtures will be at home for Munster as they take on Ulster at Garryowen F.C. and Leinster at Highfield RFC in the final fixture of the series.
