Munster Women’s Team Announced For Decider

Munster Women’s Head Coach Wayne Falvey has kept faith with the side that beat Leinster 7-0 last week for Saturday’s crucial clash with Connacht at Tralee Rugby Club (ko 2:30pm).

A win for Munster, sponsored by Keanes Jewellers, will see them regain the Interprovincial crown for an incredible seventh title in nine years.

Connacht travel south with high hopes, however, after their emphatic 39-5 win over Ulster at the Sportsground last weekend.

Last week’s try-scoring hero Laura Guest captains the youthful Munster side who have yet to concede a single point in the Interprovincial Series.

This Interpro will also have the very unusual occurrence of a sibling rivalry. Munster out-half Laura O'Mahony and her sister, Connacht winger Emer O’Mahony, face off on Saturday at their home club.

It will be a very special occasion for Tralee RFC as, along with the O’Mahony sisters, there are five other Tralee players involved in the game.

Munster's second-row forward Ciara Griffin and replacement Ayesha Roche play their club rugby for the Kerry side.

Connacht have two Tralee players in their starting XV, hooker Ciara O’Connor and winger O'Mahony with a further two, Christine Arthurs and Niamh Dempsey, in the replacements
