Munster’s Guest Called to Ireland Women’s Squad

Highfield and Munster Women’s prop Laura Guest has been called up to join the Ireland Women’s squad for the 2010 World Cup.

Guest was involved in last season's inter-provincial winning Munster side, and the former Clonakilty and UL Bohs player has been capped for Ireland nine times. Laura now joins the squad in replacement of injured Ulster prop Lauren Day.

Day fractured a bone in her wrist during a warm-up session for Ireland’s pre-tournament game against Scotland last weekend.

Ireland will open their campaign against hosts England on Friday August 20th and the game will be televised live on Sky Sports.

Ireland then play former winners and three time finalists USA in their second game on Tuesday Aug. 24th, with the final pool game against Kazakhstan on Sat. Aug. 28th.

All the pool games are set to be played in the Surrey Sports Camp which will serve as the Rugby World Cup village for all participating teams.

Tickets can be purchased on www.ticketmaster.co.uk
