New Home Ground For Castletroy College
7th September 2010 By Munster Rugby
The Castletroy College Junior Rugby players recently created history when they became the first students to train on the school’s very own grounds.
Although the school is ten years in existence it has only recently acquired the land to the rear of the school building and with the support of the local community, staff, students and parents the pitches are now ready for use.
The school is grateful to UL Bohemian RFC for its support to date in the use of their facilities which contributed to Castletroy’s success in winning both the Junior and Senior Munster Schools Cup in Season 07/08. The school now hopes to offer a reciprocal arrangement to the Club and continue to foster a strong bond between them.
Munster's Domestic Rugby Manager Ultan O'Callaghan commended all involved for their ongoing work in Rugby Development and stated that Castletroy's facilities are a credit to themselves and the local community. He went on to wish Castletroy College continued success in the future.
