The Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Junior Cup will have a new Trophy this season. The old Cup, introduced in 1932, will be retired to the Munster Rugby Museum to join its Senior counterpart.

The new trophy was presented to the Munster Schools Committee by Castletroy College in memory of Eamonn Mulcahy, a teacher in the school who sadly passed away in December 2010 after a short battle with cancer. Eamonn was only 32.

Eamonn was the coach to the Castletroy College Junior Cup side that won the Cup in 2008 and the college felt that it would be a fitting tribute to dedicate the new Munster Schools Junior Cup in his memory.

The Avonmore Milk Munster Schools Senior and Junior Cup will begin in January 2012.
