New Pitches For Kilrush RFC
6th October 2011 By Munster Rugby
Over 200 club members and supporters recently attended the opening of Kilrush RFC’s additional pitches at the club’s Monmore grounds.
Kilrush Rugby Club recently expanded its grounds to accommodate the increase in playing numbers, particularly within the under age section, which has gone from strength to strength over the last ten years.
Former Munster and Ireland player and manager Brian O’Brien was on hand to cut the ribbon at the opening ceremony for the new pitch where the Kilrush U14’s took on Thomond in a league match.
The club then co-ordinated a large scale tractor run from the grounds to Cooraclare via Doonbeg returning to Monmore for a BBQ.
Munster Rugby would like to congratulate Kilrush RFC on the expansion of their grounds and wish them every success for the season.
