Nine Munster Girls Sevens Players Named For Ireland
4th July 2014 By Munster Rugby
Nine Munster players have been named in an extended training squad of 24 players for the Ireland Girls Sevens side that will participate in the UK School Games and FIRA Under-18 Tournament in September.
The squad was selected following an extensive screening process involving 200 girls throughout the country.
Munster players Irene Herlihy and Jayne Pennefeather, who were part of the Ireland Sevens squad that finished fourth in the UK School Game last year have been named. They join fellow Munster players Chloe Aherne, Chloe Blackmore, Kate English, Zoe Lynch, Elsie O’Connor, Aisling O’Hagan and Yvonne O’Shead.
