November Youth Rugby Roundup
29th November 2024 By The Editor
With the festive season fast approaching our rugby development staff have been hard at work around the province.
We kicked off the month with a visit from members of the All Blacks XV squad who travelled out to UL’s North Pavilion to meet some buddying young rugby players from UL Bohemain RFC.
Our rugby development staff were there on the day setting up games for everyone to get stuck into.
The day finished off with a Q&A session hosted by none other than ex-Munster centre Barry Murphy.
Check out some of the fantastic photos taken by one of our talented videographer’s below.

Round three of the competition will take place on Sunday the 8th of December in Virgin Media Park.
Under 16 trials took place in Virgin Media Park this month with those selected going on to play in a North v South Munster game on Sunday the 24th of November.
As well as a whole host of games our Women’s Rugby Development staff also hosted an East Munster Player Development session for U18.5 girls.
The session took place in Waterpark RFC and players attended from Waterpark, Dungarvan, Carrick-On-Suir, Fethard and Thurles.
Women’s Development Officers Ken Imbusch, Willie Schubert and Damien Hicks were all there on the night to give to coach the players and share their expertise on how to become a better and stronger rugby player.
National school blitzes also continued this month with one being hosted in Ennis.
The Fifth Class students from Gaelscoil Mhíchíl Cíosóg and Holy Family School Ennis were there on the day.
