Old Crescent Book ODM Munster Senior Cup Final Spot

Old Crescent will compete in their first Senior Cup Final in 49 years after a 17-13 win over Bruff at Dooradoyle on Saturday.
At Dooradoyle, two Division Two sides battled it out for their place in the final in breezy conditions. Old Crescent’s Mark Woods kicked four penalties in the first half which David Maw converted one penalty for Bruff to put Crescent 12-3 in the lead at half time.
Five minutes into the second half, Crescent extended their lead to 17-3 with a try from winger Aaron O’Carroll which wasn’t converted. Bruff attempted to reduce the deficit and were successful with a try midway through the second half by John Moore, and again with ten minutes to go Paul O’Brien crossed the line for Bruff. With the conversions to both tries missed, the score finished 17-13 in Old Crescent’s favour.
