Old Crescent Defeat Shannon In Charity Cup

Old Crescent who will be playing in Division 2C of the Ulster Bank League caused a big upset in the quarter final of the Limerick Charity Cup with an 18-13 win over Division 1B side Shannon at Coonagh.
Cathal O’Reilly and Brendan Guilfoyle scored tries for the Rosbrien side and Shane O’Brien kicked a conversion and two penalties.
Shannon replied with tries from Ronan McKenna and Shane Mullally with McKenna also kicking a penalty.
Old Crescent will now host Garryowen in the semi final next week.
