Old Crescent booked their place in the final of the Limerick Charity Cup where they will face Young Munster after a shock 35-23 win over Garryowen at Rosbrien in the second semi final.

Crescent who defeated Shannon in the opening round were full value for their victory against a side playing in Division 1A this season.
Out Half
Larry Hanly opened the scoring for
Crescent with a try under the posts which he also converted, while
Garryowen were reduced to fourteen when
Paul McCarroll was yellow carded.
James Frawley opened Garryowen’s account with a penalty but a try by scrum half Gareth Quinn-McDonogh which Hanly converted extended the home side’s advantage.
Brian Tuohy scored a third try which Hanly converted and a try by Ben Rowley converted by Frawley left it 21-10 in favour of Old Crescent at half time.
Frawley kicked a penalty early in the second half but Quinn-McDonogh got in for his second try and Hanly’s conversion made it 28-13.
Peter O’Shea kept Garryowen in the game with a try but a Brendan Guilfoyle try converted by Hanly extended the Rosbrien side’s advantage.
Joe Purcell scored a third try for Garryowen late in the game.
