Over 180 girls from schools across the province took part in a tag rugby blitz at Old Crescent RFC in Limerick last week.

The players represented 16 different emerging schools from throughout Munster with eight of those schools taking part in the programme for the very first time.

The aim of the initiative is to introduce rugby into schools throughout the province that would like to grow rugby as part of their overall sports curriculum.

The day was a huge success with Coláiste Ide Dingle winning the blitz.

See below for a selection of photos from the blitz in Old Crescent.
