Penney Launches 10 a-Side Schools Blitz

Munster Head Coach Rob Penney was on hand yesterday to launch the Munster Rugby U17 Schools Blitz, sponsored by Laya Healthcare, in aid of the Shine Centre for Autism.

The schools 10 a-side Blitz will take place on Friday, 15th March at the PBC Grounds, Wilton, Cork with over 27 teams taking part.

The blitz will be divided into two pools with ‘A’ and ‘B’ schools competing in Pool 1 and ‘C’, Associate and Non-Rugby playing schools competing in Pool 2.

All participants will raise their own sponsorship as part of a Transition Year student initiative and donate these funds to autism charity SHINE.

Speaking on behalf of Munster Rugby Rob Penney said “tens is a very exciting game for the young lads, lots of space, lots of movement, lots of tries and it promises to be an exciting day for all players and spectators at PBC, Wilton.”
