Play Rugby Comes To Waterford

A Play Rugby Workshop was recently hosted for primary school teachers from Waterford County as part of a new initiative between Munster Rugby and the Waterford Sports Partnership.

The aim of the workshop was to introduce Leprechaun and Tag Rugby to the primary schools within the area.

On completion of the course participants were given a Play Rugby Pack which includes balls, cones and bibs and it is hoped they will continue to use them within the schools and continue to promote rugby development.

Partaking schools in conjunction with the Munster Rugby Community Rugby Officers will run some coaching sessions for the pupils over the coming months.

Munster Rugby would like to thank Waterpark College for the use of their facilities and Waterford Sports Partnership for their help in coordinating the workshop.
