Hear from Munster Head Coach Fiona Hayes and out-half Kate Flannery ahead of Saturday’s Vodafone Women’s Interprovincial Championship final. They will face Leinster at Kingspan Stadium in Belfast (4.15pm).

They reflected on the last time Munster played Leinster, the standard of the Munster squad this year, and how the team are approaching the Interpro final against last year’s victors.

Speaking after last weekend’s win against Connacht, Hayes stated ‘that win obviously gave us a bit of confidence, so we have that going forward, we know this Leinster team are absolutely brilliant, they have such athletes’.

‘We know that travelling up to Belfast it’s going to be some battle, but we’re looking forward to it.’

Flannery mentioned that the mood in the camp was good ahead of this important fixture and the squad has worked well together both on an off the pitch, ‘there is so much excitement building, a few nerves, but we’re just so excited to see what we can do’.

‘Everyone gets on so well, it’s such a close group, everyone that’s come in, all the new girls, everyone gels so well and that really shows on the pitch’.
