Primary School Tag Rugby Blitz at Thomond RFC

Munster Rugby recently hosted a 6th class primary school tag rugby blitz for Corpus Christi, Caherdavin and St Munchins National Schools at Thomond RFC.

The Blitz was organised by Community Rugby Officers George Guilfoyle, Ed Daly, Ross Callaghan and David O’Mahony along with the assistance of work experience students Cathal O’Shea (Limerick Senior College) and Johnathan Downey (Limerick Central College).

All involved on the day were delighted with the success of the event along with the enthusiasm and sportsmanship on display from all participants. It is hoped a similar blitz will be run before the Easter break with more local schools involved.

Munster Rugby would like to take this opportunity to thank Thomond RFC for the use of their facilities and in particular John Airey for his assistance in coordinating the event.

Thomond RFC mini rugby training takes place in Fitzgerald Park every Sunday morning at 10.00 a.m. For further information please contact James Buckley on 087-9602184
