RDS Mid-Term Camp
11th November 2014 By Munster Rugby
Munster’s four Regional Development Squads came together during the school mid-term to take part in a day of training and matches.
The squads assembled at the wonderful 4G facilities in UL and spent the morning working on position-specific skills under the direction of Munster Rugby Academy and Development staff, supported by volunteer coaches.
In the afternoon, the regions played matches amongst each other, giving the players the opportunity to practice the skills from the morning session.
The games are also helpful for the coaches as they look to identify the players showing the most potential to obtain a position in the Munster U-18s Clubs’ squad for 2015.
Munster Rugby maintain an open door policy which means it is never too late for a player to join this pathway.
Our coaches are continuously searching for the next Donnacha Ryan or Jack O'Donoghue, who are just two examples of players who came through this programme.
If you think your club has that player within your underage squad, his coach can contact janeburns@munsterrugby.ie.
