Regional Development Squads Begin 8 Week Programme

This week the Munster Rugby Regional Development programmes for both clubs and schools players began their eight week summer training schedule at U17 age grade.
The Regional Development programme comprise of four North, South, East and West Munster club squads and two schools development squads based in Limerick and Cork training centres.
Each session contains one hour on the pitch and one hour in the gym. Sessions are education and development based focusing on individual skills capacities, game appreciation, unit appreciation and core physical attributes within the IRFU Long Term Player Development programme.
Following this eight week programme and extensive screening processes through player identification in club and school competitions, the development players are on the pathway to the Munster U18 club and school representative squads for the 2015/16 interprovincial series.
