Rep Sides Information Evening
5th February 2013 By Munster Rugby
Approximately 400 players and their parents attended a Representative Team Information evening presented by Ultan O’Callaghan, Munster Domestic Rugby Manager and Peter Malone, Elite Player Development Manager last night at the Charleville Park Hotel.
The purpose of the night was to inform Munster Representative Squads of upcoming screening processes in the build up to final player selection for Munster representative sides in the interprovincial 2013 series.
Players and their parents welcomed the opportunity to meet the Munster U20, U19, U18 Clubs and U18 Schools Management teams ahead of the process.
All players are currently being observed throughout the Munster School and Club competitions and if selected will take part in upcoming trial games along with screening and fitness testing programmes.
The final squads will be reduced to 26 players by mid-April and go on to attend a five week ‘Munster Rugby Talent Camp’ at Rockwell College this summer.
All players will take part in intense training sessions and educational modules focusing on nutritional and general well-being ahead of their competitive fixtures in September.
