Castletroy College cruised into the second round of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup with a comprehensive 40-0 win over Glenstal Abbey at the Markets Field.

Tries from Evan O’Connell, Stephen Kiely, Darragh Murray helped Castletroy College race into a 19-0 lead after 20 minutes with Murray kicking two conversions.

A try on the stroke of half-time by Aidan Ryan converted by Murray had Castletroy 26-0 in front at the interval. Murray again added the extras.

Further tries from Max Hoare and Lee White with Murray and John Donoghue converting secured the win.

Castletroy will now face PBC at Irish Independent Park on Wednesday, February 5.
