This game also doubled up for the Michael Kelly Cup which is an annual fixture between these two sides.
Both sides were short some regulars as Old Crescent who trailed 10-0 with twenty minutes remaining staged a remarkable comeback to win in extra time.
Darragh O’Gorman gave Young Munster a 3-0 half time lead with a penalty after twenty minutes.
A try Alan Kennedy converted by O’Gorman three minutes into the second half extended Young Munster’s lead to 10-0.
Maccon Casserly opened Old Crescent’s account with a penalty after sixty minutes and five minutes later the sides were level when Val McDermott touched down and Casserly converted.
