Rockwell Advance to Avonmore Milk Schools Snr Final

Favourites Rockwell are through to their third successive Avonmore Milk Schools Senior Cup final on St. Patrick’s Day after a hard earned win over C.B.C. at Clanwilliam Park.

Rockwell College 13, C.B.C. 9.
Darragh McNamara put Christians ahead with a penalty after nine minutes, but penalties from Brian Haugh on 22 and 32 minutes gave the Tipperary College the lead.
McNamara tied up the scores in injury time to leave it 6-6 at half time.
Christians regained the lead on forty five minutes with McNamara kicking his third penalty.
Rockwell scored the game’s only try on fifty minutes when lock Luke Cahill broke from a scrum on the Twenty Two and touched down for Haugh to convert.
