Rockwell Seek Three In A Row

Rockwell College will defend their Munster Schools Senior Cup title next Monday 18th March (ko 2pm) in Thomond Park Stadium against Crescent College Comprehensive.
This will be the fifth meeting between the two schools in the Senior Cup Final with victories currently standing at two wins each. Crescent were successful in 1949 and 1990 while the Cashel based side came out on top in 1953 and 1960.
Cup holders Rockwell College will be aiming for their ‘three in a row’ title, under head coach Mark Butler, and currently hold 25 titles in total.
Limerick school Crescent College Comprehensive have nine titles and last won the cup back in 1994.
The last time these two sides met in the final was 23 years ago, 18th March in Thomond Park with the Limerick students winning out by 25 points to 0.
Munster Rugby would like to wish both teams the best of luck in the final.
