Role Of Referees And Respect For The Game
23rd January 2024 By The Editor
Munster Rugby would like to remind everyone associated with the game of the values and code of conduct that we uphold and adhere to.
Respect before, during and after matches, both on and off the pitch, has long since been an established value of the game.
We would like to acknowledge all involved with rugby within the province that uphold and demonstrate this in their actions and behaviours, thank you for playing your part.
Any behaviour that does not comply with the standards that all of us in the Munster Rugby family live by and expect, will not be tolerated.
We are very grateful to have a great network of referees and relationship with the Munster Association of Referees and acknowledge what they do week in, week out.
Referees are like so many other volunteers in the game. They generously give their time to help others enjoy the sport.
We spoke to Craig Casey, Calvin Nash and Jack Crowley on the important role referees played in their development from playing underage and schools rugby to becoming members of the senior Munster squad and Ireland internationals.
