Rugby At Bantry Community School
22nd March 2011 By Munster Rugby
Bantry Community School recently fielded a boys U15 side for the first time against Bandon Grammar school.
Despite the result of 33 to 20 in favour of Bandon, the Bantry coaching staff were delighted with the skill development of their young players since they commenced training last October.
With the assistance of Munster Rugby’s Club Community Rugby Officer Eugene McCarthy, great strides have been made within the school that now has a squad of 24 players and look forward to competing in further challenge matches.
Munster Rugby would like to thank all the teachers in Bantry Community School for their support in the development of rugby within the school.
