Rugby Development Through Emerging Schools Programme

Munster Rugby are currently running blitz days throughout the province for secondary school pupils attending non-traditional rugby playing schools

Pupils at U15 age grade representing over 60 schools throughout the six provinces have been taking part in 12 aside rugby coordinated by Munster Rugby Development Officers.

The programme will continue to be rolled out within Munster over the next two months. Competing teams will resume their blitz matches next March with the finals scheduled for April.

Speaking about the programme Community Rugby Manager Damon Urlich said "this initiative has been developed to give young people attending non traditional rugby playing schools the opportunity to play the sport and it is hoped they will continue to participate at their local club."
