Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai 7 – 19 Sacred Heart Clonakilty
Sacred Heart Clonakilty were crowned Munster Girls Schools Junior Cup champions for a second year in a row after overcoming fellow West Cork outfit Colaiste Pobail Bheanntrai 7-19.
Last years champions were first to strike through hooker Lucy McCarthy who touched down in the 10th minute. 14 added the extras.
Winger Ciara Barrett crossed the white wash in the 2oth minute to score Sacred Heart’s second with Keelin McCarthy slotting the conversion through the uprights.
Colaiste Pobail Bheanntraí scored their only try of the afternoon in the 26th minute after a fantastic run from full back Seren Lehane.
Zoe Hicks added the extras.
There was just the one try in the second half as Sacred Heart winger Keelin Mccarthy crashed over in the 44th minute bringing the final score to 7-19 in favour of last years champions.
