A good day for the three Munster clubs in Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League as all three won, Dolphin under new management defeat Shannon in their Division 1B relegation clash and Highfield open up a four point gap at the top of Division 2A.

Young Munster had a dramatic last minute 20-18 win over St Mary's College at Tom Clifford Park as they held on to second place in Division 1A.
The home side led 10-3 at half time with a Cian Bohane try and a penalty and a conversion by Alan Tynan.
The out half kicked a second penalty for Munster’s but in the final play of the game Bohane scored his second try to level and Tynan’s conversion denied the Dublin side victory.

Trailing 10-3 at half time Cork Constitution ended Terenure College’s recent good run with a 16-10 victory at Lakelands Park.
Brian Hayes scored a try for Con’, Tomas Quinlan kicked a penalty and a conversion and John Poland added two penalties.

Trailing 13-6 at half time, Garryowen rallied at Dooradoyle in the second half to defeat UCD 17-16 and moved up to fifth place.
Peadar Collins scored Garryowen’s try and skipper Neil Cronin added four penalties.

The meeting of the top two sides in Division 1B on the 4G pitch in UL saw leaders Buccaneers extend their lead at the top of the table to sixteen points after their 39-27 win over UL Bohemian.
Harry Fleming, Rick McKenna and Barry White scored tries for UL Bohes and McKenna converted all three and added two penalties.

U.C.C. defeated third place Naas 16-13 to record their third successive win.
Tom Kiersey and Daire Feeney scored tries for College and Kevin O’Keeffe kicked two penalties.

Dolphin ended Shannon’s recent revival with a 24-11 bonus point win at Irish Independent Park.
Dolphin led 12-11 at half time.
Barry Fitzgerald and Ryan Murphy each scored two tries for Dolphin and Barry Keeshan converted two.
Nathan Randles was Shannon’s try scorer and Ronan McKenna kicked two penalties.

Two penalty tries in the opening half both converted by Paddy O’Toole earned Highfield a 17-14 home win over Blackrock College to go four points clear at the top of Division 2A.
Highfield were 17-0 ahead at half time and had to withstand a Blackrock fight back in the second half.

Nenagh Ormond lost ground when Banbridge defeated them 33-25 at Rifle Park.
Lemeki Vaipulu, Clayton Stewart and John Coffey scored tries for Nenagh and Stewart added two conversions and two penalties.

Cashel moved out of the relegation zone with a 36-3 bonus point win at home to bottom side Belfast Harlequins.

Two penalties from Shane O’Riordan was not enough for Sunday’s Well who lost 13-6 away to Queen’s University.

Old Crescent’s promotion hopes in Division 2B received a setback at Rosbrien when they lost 30-19 to City of Armagh.
Brian Tuohy scored a try for Crescent and Shane O’Brien kicked a conversion, drop goal and three penalties.

Bottom side Thomond lost 36-17 away to Skerries. Wayne Mullaney, David O’Halloran and Darragh O’Neill scored tries for Thomond and Alan Wallace kicked a penalty.

Bruff defeated Tullamore 13-10 at the Offaly venue to move to within three points of a play off place in Division 2C.
Mark Cosgrove and Cillian Rea scored tries for Bruff and Tony Cahill kicked a penalty.

Midleton lost 26-32 away to Seapoint. Ross O’Mahony, Michael Cronin and Daniel Murray scored tries for Midleton. Stuart Lee kicked two penalties and Paul Daly a penalty and a conversion.

A try from Sean Cremin converted by Conor Cremin earned Kanturk a 7-7 draw away to Bangor, a result that sees them slip into the relegation zone.
