All Three Munster sides continue their push for a top four finish in Division 1A of the Ulster Bank League.
Garryowen were never behind at Dooradoyle but had to settle for a share of the spoils after they finished all square with Lansdowne after a 16-16 draw.
Garryowen led 13-3 at half time with James McInerney and Conor Oliver scoring tries for Garryowen and Neil Cronin kicking a penalty.
Cronin added another penalty after the break but a conversion of a penalty try by Scott Deasy saw Lansdowne share the spoils.
Cork Constitution ended Ballynahinch’s recent revival with a 38-3 win at the Co. Down venue. James Ryan (2), James Murphy, Max Abbott and Jason Higgins were Constitution’s try scorers and Darragh Lyons kicked three conversions.
Young Munster maintained their challenge with a 14-11 away win over Old Belvedere. Abrie Griesel scored Munster’s try and Gearoid Lyons kicked three penalties.
Shane Airey failed to convert his own last minute try for Shannon to settle for a draw at Donnybrook against Old Wesley in Division 1B as the visitors lost 20-18. David O’Donovan and Richie Mullane scored Shannon’s tries and Airey kicked a penalty.
Dolphin eased their relegation worries with a 32-22 away win over Buccaneers. Rory O’Connor scored two tries for Dolphin and Brian Scott and John Fitzgerald got one each. Barry Keeshan kicked three conversions and two penalties.
U.L Bohemian’s 20-15 win at Annacotty against Blackrock College still sees them five points off safety. Darren Moroney and Rory White scored tries for the Robins and Rick McKenna kicked two conversions and two penalties.
Cashel kept their promotion hopes in Division 2A alive with a thrilling 18-13 home win over third placed U.C.C. Andrew Wallace and James Maxwell scored tries for Cashel and Pat O’Connor kicked two penalties and a conversion. Cathal Gallagher replied with a try for College and Kevin O’Keeffe converted and added two penalties.
Nenagh Ormond kept their chances of a play off place alive with a 26-10 bonus point away win over bottom side Corinthians. Johnny Hayes, Lemeki Viapula, Anthony Grey and Derek Corcoran scored tries for the Tipperary side and Michael Walsh kicked three conversions.
Thomond remain in relegation trouble after their 27-14 home defeat by Malone. Aleksander Slijepevic and Eoin O’Carroll scored tries for Thomond and Fionn McGibney converted both.
Greystones who defeated Leaders City of Derry last week in Division 2B, this week defeated second place Highfield 14-13 thanks to a converted try in the seventh minute of injury time. Highfield led 13-7 at half time with tries from Kevin Foyle and Sean Quaid and a penalty from Dylan Horgan.
Sunday’s Well made it ten wins in a row when they defeated MU Barnhall 20-10. Mark Chandler, Cathal Quinn and Ross O’Mahony scored tries for the ‘Well and Eoin Geary kicked a penalty and a conversion.
Old Crescent took another step closer to promotion from Division 2C with a 52-19 home win over Midleton.
Bruff kept their play off places alive with a 24-5 home win over Boyne. Mark Cosgrave, Declan Bannon (2) and Paudie Kilcoyne scored tries for Bruff and Bannon kicked two conversions.
A try from Olan Daly was not enough for Kanturk who lost away to Tullamore 29-5.
