Schools Charity Match In Cork

Christian Brothers College’s senior side will host Presentation Brothers College in the annual Brother O’Reilly Cup on Friday, December 9, in the Mardyke, Cork (7.30pm).  

All proceeds from the game will go to L'Arche Cork, a charity that cares for adults with mental disabilities. Click here for more information on L'Arche Cork.

Tickets are available from both schools with a family ticket (two adults and two juniors) priced at €;12, an adult ticket is €;5 and a junior ticket is €;3. Tickets will also be available at the gate on the night.

Aiden Twomey, PBC principal, says: “The pupils and staff of both PBC and CBC, with the help and generosity of the UCC Sports Department and Goodbody Stock Brokers, are delighted and indeed excited to be given the opportunity to support L’Arche Cork in the extraordinary work they undertake in our local community.”

The Charity Cup game is a long-standing tradition between the two schools. PBC and CBC invite all past and present pupils, and the entire Cork rugby community, to attend the match.

Both sides are currently preparing for their respective Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Senior Cup campaigns which will commence in January 2017.
