Schools Junior Cup | Castletroy College Book Semi-Final Place

Castletroy College booked their place in the last four of the Clayton Hotels Munster Schools Junior Cup with a deserving 26-15 victory over Ardscoil Rís at Thomond Park.

Tries from Aidan Walters, Jack Oliver and Gavin Rowsome all converted by Oliver put Castletroy into an early 21-0 lead. A try by Amar Jagana for Ardscoil Rís try on the stroke of half-time left it 21-5 at the interval.

Oliver extended Castletroy’s lead with his second try and despite finishing stronger with tries from Jagana and Colin Kelly it was not to be Ardscoil Rís’ day.

Friday 1 March: St Munchin’s College v Christian Brothers College, Thomond Park, 2pm

The Munster Schools Junior Cup quarter-final teams will be announced throughout this week across Munster Rugby channels.

The Junior Cup semi-finals will be scheduled during the week commencing 11 March.
