Holders Cork Constitution remain on course for a record fourth successive Bank of Ireland Munster Senior Cup title after an exciting win over a game Nenagh Ormond side at Temple Hill.

Although both sides went into the game chasing a play off place in their respective Divisions in the Ulster Bank League, they both fielded strong sides and both were very eager to win this tie.
Con’ settled the quicker side and were 8-0 ahead after ten minutes with a Tomas Quinlan penalty and a try by Conor Kindregan.
Nenagh came more into the game approaching half time and were awarded a penalty try on 37 minutes after a series of infringements by Con’ in the scrum close to their own line. Kolio Hifo converted.
Quinlan kicked another penalty on the stroke of half time to leave Con’ 11-7 ahead at the interval.
Eight minutes into the second half Con’ were 21-7 ahead with a penalty by Quinlan and a conversion of a Ger Sweeney try.
Kevin O’Gorman brought Nenagh back into the game with a try which Hifo converted to leave it 21-14.
Quinlan added another Con’ penalty and a try by Peter O’Connor left Nenagh trailing by five with eighteen minutes remaining.
Quinlan kicked his fifth penalty to make it 27-19. Michael Walsh missed a penalty for Nenagh but made amends on 72 minutes to leave it 27-22.
Quinlan ensured Con’s place in the final with a penalty in the final minute.

At Woodleigh Park Highfield moved up to second place in Division 2B of the Ulster Bank League with a 33-19 bonus point win over struggling Rainey Old Boys.
A Penalty Try and one by Brian O’Hea had Highfield 14-0 ahead after nineteen minutes.
Rainey rallied with a penalty from Josh McIlroy and a conversion of a try by Bernard Mullan left it 14-10 at half time.
McIlroy kicked a penalty for the Ulster side ten minutes into the second half but tries by Paul Stack and Mark Duggan and an O’Toole conversion had Highfield 26-16 ahead by the end of the third quarter.
Colm Gallagher scored a fifth try for Highfield eight minutes from time and O’Toole converted.
