Senior Coach Development At Nenagh Ormond RFC

Eithne Darcy takes the Nenagh Ormond U18s squad through a session.

The Munster Rugby Coach Development Department have enjoyed a busy period observing up and coming coaches across the province.

Nenagh Ormond RFC recently hosted a training session with coach Eithne Darcy, observed by Munster Rugby Coach & Player Development Officer Noel O’Meara as part of Darcy’s assessment for the Senior Coach Award (U16 to Adult).

Darcy, a primary school teacher, completed the coaching observation as part of the assessment criteria for the award, which develops the use of key factor analysis among head coaches working with 15 a-side teams.

The former Nenagh Ormond player completed the remaining Senior Coach Award modules in September with her sister Maeve, who has represented Munster Women and is now the squad’s team manager as well as a coach with the mixed ability team, Sunday’s Well Rebels.
